the story behind our name
Terra has always meant more than “brand agency.”
It’s a name rooted in earth - in creation, grounding, and intention.
In ancient mythology, Terra Mater means Mother Earth: the origin, the
foundation, the guide, the steady force that gives everything else life.
When I was choosing a name for this business, I kept returning to one truth:
My greatest role — the one that shapes everything I build — is the role of mother. Before I am a founder, a strategist, or a creative director, I am a mother to two little souls who teach me daily what it means to create with intention.
Our daughter, Luna, embodies imagination, curiosity, and possibility. Her name reminds me to look up — to dream bigger, explore freely, and trust the phases of growth. Our son, Forest, represents grounding, stability, and the quiet strength of steady expansion. He reminds me that true growth comes from nurturing roots before reaching outward. Together, their names hold the balance Terra was built on:

Terra Creative Group was created from a simple belief: when a business truly understands who it is, everything becomes clearer, more aligned, and far easier to grow. Rooted in the meaning of its name, terra — Latin for earth — the agency is built on clarity, intention, and grounded evolution.

Terra began as a response to what so many entrepreneurs experience: the pressure of doing everything alone, the weight of inconsistent branding, the frustration of disorganized systems, and the uncertainty of not knowing the next right step. meet jessica graham | founder of terra
Jessica Graham is the founder and creative director of Terra Creative Group, and the heart behind the experience entrepreneurs step into when they choose to work with Terra. She is a strategist, a storyteller, and an intuitive guide for business owners who want to grow with clarity and direction.

Her journey began long before Terra. Raised in her family’s business, Edges Salon & Spa, Jessica learned the realities of entrepreneurship early in life. She saw how brands are built from the ground up, what it means to lead with heart, and how much resilience and strategy it takes to sustain long-term success.

After completing her Bachelor of Business Administration with a Major in Marketing from Mount Royal University, she spent more than a decade immersed in branding, marketing, and business development. Over the years, she has supported hundreds of businesses across multiple industries — beauty, wellness, real estate, education, hospitality, trades, and creative services — helping them elevate their presence and grow with intention.

Jessica’s entrepreneurial spirit naturally expanded beyond Terra. While maintaining her role as Director of Marketing at Edges, she is also the co-owner of Reset Hydrotherapy, Alberta’s first licensed cold-plunge and contrast-therapy facility, and a founder in Harmonia Retreat, a luxury wellness retreat created to support women in reconnecting with themselves. She also leads a growing team inside Terra Creative Group, collaborating with specialists across creative, marketing, and operational roles to support businesses at every stage.

Her work in business extends into education as well. Jessica serves as the Director of Marketing on the Board of X Learning.Life, a private learner-led school in Calgary redefining modern learning models and empowering the next generation through curiosity and connection.

Throughout every chapter, Jessica’s greatest strength has remained the same: she sees potential clearly, often before others see it in themselves. Her ability to translate a business owner’s vision into identity, structure, strategy, and long-term growth is what makes her work both deeply strategic and profoundly grounded.
